The Higgs Bosun particle. In a nineteen ninety eight episode, Homer Simpson writes out an equation on a chalkboard that, when solved accurately, predicts the mass of the Higgs Bosun particle.

Autocorrect errors in a nineteen ninety four episode titled Lisa on Ice Classroom Chalkboard features the phrase lart of the Dance, which is similar to autocorrect errors that people often encounter today. In two thousand and twelve, an episode titled Politically Inept with Homer Simpson, a newsticker shows a headline that says Europe puts Greece on eBay.

The Shard in London. In a nineteen ninety five episode titled Lisa's Wedding, a future London skyline is shown featuring a building resembling the Shard, a prominent skyscraper in London, which was built several years after the episode aired.

In in nineteen ninety two episode titled Lisa the Greek Again, Lisa predicts the outcome of the Super Bowl, stating that the Washington Redskins will beat the Buffalo Bills in real life during the Super Bowl in nineteen ninety two, the Washington Redskids did indeed beat the Buffalo Bills FaceTime and video chat.

This was before the widespread adoption of such technology in the real world phone and tablet dependency. In a nineteen ninety four episode titled Lisa's First Word, a magazine cover features a picture of a family sitting together on the couch, all absorbed in their own individual electronic devices. This anticipated the increasing dependency on smartphones and tablets for entertainment and communication.
